MCA Fall Color Cruise
on the St. Croix River & Reunion 

50th Anniversary of the St Croix River as a National Wild and Scenic River  

Park information can be found at Wm O'Brien St. Park


Join our MCA cruisers for a view of the St. Croix River in its fall splendor. After the paddle join us for a pot luck dinner at the Riverside Group Camp in William O’Brien State Park.

Camp Saturday night at the Riverside primitive Group Camp, no cost!

The trip will be insured by the USCA. There will be a $5.00 per person charge payable to the MCA. A USCA waiver must be filled out and signed by all participants. 
All boats must comply with US Coast Guard rules. PFD for each person and 1 whistle per boat.


Shuttle will be run by participants and coordinated by MCA leaders. River access not requiring a fee are at Osceola Landing and Log House Landing.



Saturday October 6, 2018 Schedule:

9:30
Arrive at Osceola Bridge Landing, sign in and pay $5, unload, get ready.


9:45
Start shuttle to O’Brien take out.


10:15 
Start paddling.


12:00
Lunch below the RR swing bridge. Bring your own lunch.

Start Paddling


3:00
Arrive at O’Brien load up and finish shuttle.


4:00
Wrap up.

5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Happy Hour, byob

6:00 to 8:00
Potluck dinner







 

Sunday October 7, 2018
Schedule:

9:30 AM
Meet at William O’Brien boat launch upper parking area. Sign in.
 

Paddling from Osceola to William O’Brien. 

Start time of about 10:30 to 10:45 AM.


Section of the river may change for Sunday paddle due to weather or a change of plans.

 If a change of plans occurs the Section will be between Interstate State Park and Boom site landing. Some sections considered will be.

  1. Interstate to Osceola 
  2. The back waters near William O’Brien no shuttle required.
  3. William O’Brien to the Boom Site landing.
  4. Racers may determine their own route plan.

If you filled out waiver and paid the fee on Saturday you are covered for Sunday.

Camping and Potluck 

Please let us know if you will need a tent site. The MCA is covering the cost of the group camp.There is no formal registration on the website, but please send an email to:
communications@mncanoe.org.

For the potluck,the MCA can provide paper plates, napkins, and disposable utensils.
